FAQs

What should I send to BSED with my child? At the beginning of the school year, you should send an Epi-pen or inhaler if your child has been prescribed one along with their Individual Health Care Plan and Medication Consent. If your child is in grades K-2 you may also want to send a spare set of clothes (including socks!) to keep in their cubby. If you choose to do so - which we highly recommend - please place them in a resealable bag labeled with your child’s name.

On a daily basis, You should send your child to BSED with a snack and water bottle.

What will my child be doing at BSED? Everyday our students have an opportunity to have snack, recess and do their homework before splitting into small groups for activity time. Activity time always includes a physical activity and options such as arts and crafts, science, writing, theatre, cooking and more. The students choose which activity they would like to participate in. As activities wrap up, students trickle back to the classroom for free play followed by quiet reading.

Where and when do I pick my child up? You can pick up your child at any time between 2:30-6:00 (1:40-6:00 on Fridays). If you are picking up a child in grades K-2 or 6-7, please come to the cafeteria entrance. If you are picking up a child in grades 3-5, please come to the BSED classroom door at the back of the school under the bridge. If a family has children in multiple programs we will send all children from that family out the door that the youngest child would be expected to use.

You will need to use the Procare app to sign your child out. An invitation will be sent to all parents. If you do not receive an invitation, we do not have your email address on file. Please reach out to Janelle at bsedstaff@gmail.com to edit your contact information.
